<h3>How to get to Šibenik</h3>
<p>
Šibenik is conveniently located on the central Dalmatian coast of Croatia and is accessible by air, road, bus, and ferry. Below you will find detailed information on how to reach the city.

<h4>By air</h4>
<p>
Šibenik does not have its own airport, but it is well served by two nearby international airports:
</p>
<p>
<b>SPLIT AIRPORT (SPU)</b><br>
Distance from Šibenik: approximately 55 km (about 50–60 minutes by car)<br>
Split Airport is the closest major airport and the second-busiest airport in Croatia. It offers direct flights to numerous European cities, including London, Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Vienna, Zürich, Berlin, Brussels, and many more, operated by carriers such as Croatia Airlines, Lufthansa, easyJet, Vueling, Eurowings, and others.<br>

<b>ZADAR AIRPORT (ZAD)</b><br>
Distance from Šibenik: approximately 65 km (about 55–65 minutes by car)<br>
Zadar Airport is another convenient option, with flights to many European destinations, particularly served by Ryanair and Croatia Airlines.<br>

<b>ZAGREB AIRPORT (ZAG)</b> — Franjo Tuđman Airport<br>
Distance from Šibenik: approximately 300 km (about 3.5 hours by car)<br>
Zagreb Airport is Croatia's main international airport, with the widest range of international connections. From Zagreb, Šibenik can be reached by car via the A1 motorway or by bus.<br>

<h4>Transfers from the airport</h4>

We plan to provide organised shuttle transfers from Zagreb Airport and Split Airport to the venue in Šibenik for all registered participants. Detailed information about shuttle schedules and pick-up arrangements will be published closer to the event.

<b>From Split Airport:</b>
<ul>
    <li>By bus: Regular public bus services connect Split Airport to Split city centre, from where intercity buses run to Šibenik (approximately 1.5 hours total).</li>
    <li>By taxi/private transfer: A taxi or pre-booked private transfer from Split Airport to Šibenik takes approximately 50–60 minutes. Pre-booked transfers are recommended.</li>
    <li>By rental car: Car rental agencies are available at the airport. The drive to Šibenik follows the A1 motorway and the coastal road.</li>

<b>From Zadar Airport:</b>
<ul>
    <li>By bus: Buses connect Zadar Airport to Zadar city centre, from where intercity buses run to Šibenik (approximately 1 hour from the city).</li>
    <li>By taxi/private transfer: A taxi or private transfer from Zadar Airport to Šibenik takes approximately 55–65 minutes.</li>
    <li>By rental car: Available at the airport; the drive follows the A1 motorway.</li>

<h4>By bus</h4>
<p>
Šibenik is well connected to other Croatian cities and to the wider region by intercity bus services. Regular bus connections include:

    <li>Zagreb — Šibenik: approximately 4.5–5.5 hours</li>
    <li>Split — Šibenik: approximately 1–1.5 hours</li>
    <li>Zadar — Šibenik: approximately 1–1.5 hours</li>
    <li>Dubrovnik — Šibenik: approximately 4.5–5.5 hours</li>

<h4>By car</h4>

<p>
Šibenik is accessible via the modern A1 motorway (Zagreb — Split), which has an exit for Šibenik. Driving distances from major cities:

    <li>Zagreb to Šibenik: approximately 300 km (3–3.5 hours)</li>
    <li>Split to Šibenik: approximately 85 km (1 hour)</li>
    <li>Zadar to Šibenik: approximately 85 km (1 hour)</li>
    <li>Dubrovnik to Šibenik: approximately 300 km (3.5 hours)</li>
    <li>Ljubljana (Slovenia) to Šibenik: approximately 480 km (5 hours)</li>
    <li>Budapest (Hungary) to Šibenik: approximately 650 km (6.5 hours)</li>
    <li>Vienna (Austria) to Šibenik: approximately 750 km (7 hours)</li>
</ul>
Motorway tolls apply on the A1. Payment can be made by cash (euros) or card.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

All participants are strongly advised to arrange appropriate travel and health insurance for the duration of their stay in Croatia. EU/EEA citizens should bring their European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). Participants from non-EU countries should ensure they have comprehensive travel insurance, including coverage for medical expenses.

LOCAL TRANSPORT IN ŠIBENIK

Šibenik is a compact city. The historic Old Town and most key locations are within walking distance. Local bus services are available for travel to nearby areas. The organising committee will arrange transport between the accommodation, the competition venue, and excursion locations.
